About NGC

NGC Objective

The NGC’s broad objectives are to provide a forum for identifying and discussing issues that impact the use of geothermal power, to catalyze problem-solving actions to address key issues, and to build consensus among varied stakeholder groups. Consensus is defined as “all participants can support.” Our vision is that geothermal power is environmentally, economically and politically sustainable and fully integrated into mainstream energy markets.

NGC’s activities are designed to explore and address in order to:

  • Resolve environmental and siting issues related to geothermal power development, including land use considerations
  • Resolve geothermal energy transmission and utility system integration issues
  • Promote assessment to identify and validate promising geothermal resources
